Eugene, Margaret and Hilda welcome you to Haus Ashling , a small but friendly Irish
owned B&B situated at the base of the Schmittenhohe mountain in the beautiful resort of Zell am See.
All our rooms have en-suite facilities, cable TV, radio and hairdryer. Rooms booked through Hostel World are Standard Private
rooms. However some of our rooms have balconies (Supplement Payable locally) with panoramic views of the city of Zell,The Lake and surrounding Mountains and can be booked on arrival if available. Buffet breakfast is included in price.
We are located five minutes walk to the town centre of Zell am See. However, the return journey is an 8 minute walk, included in which there is a 3 minute steep walk up our driveway from the public road.Our driveway may prove difficult for elderly people and is not suitable for wheelchair or buggy access.
For Guests with cars there are 4 acute bends on the driveway and can be difficult but not impossible to negotiate with a two wheel drive car. There is a parking area at the bottom of the driveway.If you wish you can park free of charge on our parking area and we will bring your luggage to the house.
For the comfort and relaxation of our Guests, we have a small residents Bar where you can socialize with other Guests and discuss your day's activities over a Beer, Glass of Wine,or even a pint of Guinness etc. There are also some Board games and Playing cards available to the Guests in this room.
Summer activities include, swimming, watersports, cycling, hill-walking, paragliding, river-rafting and summer ski-ing. If you would like a more relaxing time you can stroll along the lake shore and then enjoy afternoon tea/coffee in one of the many Austrian Coffee Shops where the cakes are just sinful. Winter activities include ski-ing to and from Haus Ashling. Glacier ski-ing in the nearby Kitzsteinhorn. Snow-boarding, Sleigh rides, Ice-skating or watching the local Ice Hockey team.
