Varlet Farm is comfortable family run farmhouse bed and breakfast in the heart of Flanders Battlefield, just 9 kilometres from Ypres. Varlet Farm was part of the German defences in October 1917 and was attacked and captured by the Royal Naval Division.
Your hosts Charlotte & Dirk Cardoen-Descamps will be happy to share their knowledge of the area and the highlights of the Salient.
There is a choice of rooms available, double, twin or triple, all with an en-suite. There also is a family room has two twin-bedded rooms, a sitting area and one bathroom. A crib is available on request.
A continental breakfast is included in the room rate; guests are welcome to help themselves to tea and coffee all day. After a day exploring the historical area, guests may learn more about the area by perusing a selection of books regarding the First World War.
Remember, at Varlet Farm you will sleep in the centre of one of the most important battlefields in history, where the past is never far away.
