Sæby is a municipality (Danish, kommune) in North Jutland County, Denmark on the northeast coast of Vendsyssel-Thy, a part of the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 326 km², and has a total population of 18,021 as of 2005. Its mayor is Folmer Hansen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. Neighboring municipalities with land connection are Frederikshavn and Sindal to the north, Hjørring and Brønderslev to the west, and Dronninglund to the south. Neighboring island municipality Læsø to the east is separated from the municipality by the waters of Læsø Channel (Læsø Rende).
