The hostel is owned by Walkabout inns (aussie pubs) and is most suitable for people in their 20s and 30s, although quite a few older people have stayed and enjoyed it.
No under 18s though as the hostel is covered by the
license of the pub, also it isn't suitable for children. The majority of people staying are weekly people, usually for a few months; they come from all over the world.
Often the long term people make friends with each other and
organize things together, e.g.. meals, trips, holidays, etc. This makes it a nice atmosphere and new people are always made welcome.
Drugs, theft or violence are not tolerated. The rooms are dorms (between 4 and 16 beds) and the shower rooms are in the corridors. There is a kitchen (small) and a
lounge/TV room.
