Beau Vallon is a mountain lodge situated on the massif de Cangiou in the Pyrénées Orientales, 53 kms (45mins)from PERPIGNAN. Consisting of 5 double bedrooms and 3 studios, each room has own bathroom, double bed; bar fridge, TV point., and double french doors to private patio.
1Studio consists of two rooms with communicating door, each ensuite; a double bed and two singles plus a small kitchen. Fully equipped. Ideal for a family.
Beau Vallon is known for it's warm welcome, breakfast of local products, lush green gardens and its peace and tranquillity. To welcome visitors, aperitifs are served under the abri at sundowner time.
There is a large lawned area which is safe for small children, playing badminton or throwing ball for your dog and is ideal for eating al fresco - barbeques, tables and chairs for everyone.
Beau Vallon, bordered by two nature reserves, is situated on the Col de Sahorre at 675m. It is well sited for winter sports such as wild skiing at the Col de Mantet and snow shoe hikes through the forests - take the night walk, it is beautiful!
Guided walks up the massif du Cangiou can be arranged - enjoy the midnight walk to the peak and watch the sunrising over the Med. All walks guided by French professionals. Mountain biking also - but if you prefer not to take the strain try the famous 'Little Yellow Train' for a day trip through the Cerdagne, or just relax in the mountain thermal pools; visit the medieval town, the forts, churches, abbeys; local markets.
