We are passionate about good food. A delicious breakfast includes cereals, pastries, a variety of locally baked bread, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheese, fruit juice, tea, coffee etc. is served in the dining room where you can also enjoy a superb candlelit dinner, using locally sourced seasonal produce. Dinner, is a set menu changed daily. This is 25 euros per person including aperitif and wine and is by prior reservation.
If you prefer to eat out we have some excellent local restaurants within a 15 minute drive from here and we would be happy to book a table on your behalf.
We have three double bedrooms and one twin room which has two big antique beds. All rooms have en-suite facilities and are beautifully appointed with crisp cotton bed linen, fluffy large white towels, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, soap and shower gel, plus electric fans for your comfort in the summer and central heating during the winter.
Accommodation is available from 4.00 p.m. Please note payment on departure is by either euros or a euro cheque. We are unable to accept sterling or credit/debit cards.
Each room is 55 euros for two people including breakfast. Single occupancy is 45 euros. The Studio room has a double bed plus a single bed, and is 65 euros for three people, or 55 euros for two.
Local attractions include the bustling market town of Ruffec with a good selection of shops. Visit the market on Wednesday and Saturday where you will find wonderful seafood, organic produce and superb local cheese. There is also a good selection of Pineau, the local aperitif to sample.
The wonderful city of Angouleme can be reached in 25 minutes and has numerous pavement restaurants and cafes.
