This house, its surroundings and the atmosphere amongst the guests, is the basis of the best active vacation you can imagine. There is a mixture of permanent residents, tourists and season workers which is unique in the French Alps. It's also a place where a lot of fanatic sports(wo-)men come to do their thing, so if you are not on your guard you'll end up with a couple of extra hobbies, which basically is the reason I started this place.
Deutsch, Nederlands, Francais and English speaking staff. Breakfast and dinner is served if reserved the day in advance.
There are two living rooms with lots of games present. In winter a small fun park is built in the garden with jumps and slides.
The valley of Beaufortain is great for ski / snowboard (3 areas; Arêches
Beaufort, Hauteluce Contamines and les Saisies with free busses going there), cross country, paragliding, downhill mountainbiking, climbing (ice waterfalls!), wild water rafting, mushing, horseback riding, sailing, swimming, nature walks, fishing and chilling in
general.There are 16 little to large lakes in the valley which are a lot more
beautiful and cleaner than most beaches.
There are a few large towns nearby for a day trip in summer (Annecy, Chambery, Grenoble, Turino, Geneva) and a few large skiing areas in winter (Les trois Vallées, Les Arcs, La Plagne, Tignes, Valmorel). Also the little villages of the valley like Beaufort, Villard sur Doron, Arêches and Hauteluce are recommended
