Bayerisch Eisenstein a German village in Bavaria of about 1400 inhabitants. Bayerisch Eisenstein is part of Bayerischer Wald and near to the first German national park established in 1970. The town is both winter and summer resort. In the summer concentration is on walking in the forest and mountain. In winter winter sports prevail concentrating on the Gross Arber mountain. Today, trains run to both halves of the station from the relative countries. Today the local German train service, the Waldbahn, continues across the border to Spicak in Czech Republic.
