» Description Country residence, at 20 km South of Rome and 2 km from Castel Gandolfo (Pope’s summer residence) and at walking distance from the nearby Albano Lake (1 km), 8 km from Ciampino airport. Private garden, surrounded by vineyard and olive grove, for relaxing and sun bathing. 

Castal Gandolfo is 2 km away. In the middle of the Regional Parco dei Castelli Romani, and perched on the rim of the crater lake of Lago Albano, this Medieval town is the Pope’s summer residence. Possibilities of excursions, hikes in the nearby forests and around the lakes of Albano and Nemi. 

Albano Lake is 1 km away. At walking distance, the Albano Lake offers an easy walk around its shores. From here you can reach the town of Castel Gandolfo, and come back by road. 

Castelli Romani is 2.25 km away. All the historical towns of the zone of the Castelli Romani have manors and palaces of historical interest open to the public. Each town has several festivals where you can try its typical products: bread of Genzano, porchetta of Ariccia, strawberries of Nemi, and the famous wine of Frascati. Local markets for antiques and other items. 

Rome is 20 km away. The indisputable “caput mundi”, with its innumerable architectural, archeological and artistic attractions. 

Tivoli is 35 km away. Charming mediaeval town, which you can visit the beautiful Renaissance Villa D’Este, and nearby the important archeological site of Villa Hadriana, summer residence of Emperor Hadriano. 

South Coast of Latium is 70km away. The Regional Parco del Circeo is one of the oldest in Italy, with its spectacular promonade and jutting out into the clear Tyrrhenian Sea. Further inland are the mediaeval Sermoneta and the Fossanova Abbey, surrounded by its miniature village.
