The Pensionato Pio X is one of the oldest youth hostels in Florence. It has been in operation since the 1950's, constantly striving to offer the best possible accommodations at the lowest possible price. This ancient 14th century edifice was originally known as the convent of Sant'Elisabeth of the Converted.

Managed by the Barbuti and Boccaccelli families, the Pensionato Pio X welcomes both groups and guests on an individual basis. The accommodation 'Hostel style' has rooms with 3/5 beds and free use of common shower and toilet. All the rooms are very big and bright and very clean. Spacious common areas, internet cafè. (microwave is supplied) make the stay at the Pio X perfect for backpackers and all types of
travellers.
