Trigo del Sur is a small, beautiful, British-run, guesthouse with garden and swimming pool. The house is built in traditional hacienda style around a central courtyard with large sitting and dining rooms, comfortable bedrooms and a shaded patio. The spacious, traditionally furnished rooms have fans and air conditioning.
The attractive garden with its mixture of local and Mediterranean planting; sweet scented roses, jasmine, oleander, geraniums, bougainvillea, is visited by many of the exotic garden birds and butterflies of Paraguay. It’s great to watch the emerald green humming birds searching for nectar whilst you breakfast on the patio or relax by the pool. Guests are also welcome to use the barbeque to prepare themselves a delicious Paraguayan ‘asado’.
Trigo del Sur provides comfortable surroundings and good facilities at a very reasonable price. We offer reductions for stays of a week or more and currently have a special offer for those wishing to spend 90 days in Paraguay. A light, delicious breakfast of fruit, cereal, bread/toast, yogurt, tea or coffee is included in the price and our self-service system means that guests can rise as early or as late as they please. Guests are also welcome to use our facilities to make their own tea/coffee at other times of the day or to store things in the fridge.
Airport pick-ups can be arranged and on arrival at Trigo del Sur guests receive a free map of the area and we are happy to provide information to those visiting South America or Paraguay for the first time. Guests are welcome to use the sitting room where they can watch Cable TV, DVDs or videos. We also provide a laundry service, telephone, hair dryer, and secure parking for cars and bikes. We welcome you with a free drink.
