Villa Excelsior is a beautiful three star hotel located in Vama, a small city in the Suceava’s Province of Romania. A small resort situated on 1100 square meters, Villa Excelsior opened in January 2004 and prides itself on providing a very personalized service.
Each comfortable room at Villa Excelsior features individually handmade wood carved doors and balconies, a private modern bathroom, 24 hour hot water, central heating and cable TV.
The hotel has two onsite restaurants that offer Romanian and continental cuisine. For guests use there is a bar with a large fireplace and a billiards table.
The terraces around the hotel offer stunning views of the mountains and the Bizanthyn Monasteries. Villa Excelsior is located in the middle of Romanian Bucovina´s Orthodox monasteries dating from XIV and XV centuries. A Unesco World Heritage Site since 1973, these miraculous outdoor frescoes are one of the most important artistic and religious in Europe.
Villa Excelsior welcomes hunters. Hunting in Romania is strongly controlled by the Government, however the staff at Villa Excelsior are happy to arrange hunting permits and will provide a free hunting advisor and translator during your stay.
