The hostel has its unique atmosphere from the use of rustic traditional building materials - wooden and flagstone floors, solid timber bunks, walls
clouded with bark cuttings and careful interior decorations in a nautical theme with nets, ropes and sails.
Modern features as
under floor heating, dimming lights, power showers and modern kitchen add comfort to the hostels other features - good vibes and breathtaking
views.
The spacious kitchen has an extendable dining table in a cozy corner seating up to 12 people, ideal for a group booking with your friends, 2 electric hobs / ovens, 2 fridges,
microwave, toaster, mixer etc are available to provide a rich meal from
we stray's fresh ingredients ( famous steaks and fresh seafood's).
We also supply washing machine and dryer in this part of the hostel. The bunks are made from solid timber to fit a single bed
mattress, which is wider than the usual bunk size. each bunk has its own light, socket and bedside shelf. The highlight of the hostel is its conservatory.
Nets, sails, ropes and nautical maps gives the special atmosphere blending in with the panoramic view over a large bay with three Orkney isles
silhouetted on the horizon. sea, land and sky are on stage from this point above the western cliffs.
