Every Edinburgh Festival UniXtra takes over one of the better-quality accommodation blocks belonging to Edinburgh University. We then operate the residence as short-term accommodation for tourists and performers visiting Edinburgh during the Festival season.
Most accommodation is in single rooms within 4 or 5-bedroom flats (apartments) with kitchen, dining and bathrooms facilities shared by all in the flat. All bedrooms are individually lockable and are single rooms unless described otherwise.
Quality-wise the accommodation falls somewhere between a good quality youth hostel and a budget hotel. This is reflected in our prices which represent incredibly good value for a single room in Edinburgh during the festival.
