The Orange Elephant Restaurant, Pub and Backpackers is situated a short 45min drive from Port Elizabeth on the R335.
We are about 5min away from the main gate of the Addo National Elephant park and are one of two backpackers in the area.
Accommodation offered is 2 cottages, each with two bedrooms (one double room & one single room), a small lounge and a bathroom. Book the cottage or share the facilities with others.
We have an in house tour guide with a number of different activities. Hiking, fishing, mountain biking and a number of tours in the area are available. Riding Elephants or talking to Cheetahs are just some of the crazy things you can do! Our lively pub offers local flavor to your stay and the restaurant offers local dishes as well as the best steaks around.
We offer clean and comfortable accommodation at affordable rates. We have double and twin rooms. Our rooms will suit backpackers and the budget travelers.
The restaurant offers a full al la carte menu and caters fully for “veggies”. We offer traditional South African food such as “Bobotie” and game steaks. Our steaks are legendary and the portions are for the hungry.
Join us in the small but well stocked pub for a few drinks, which includes the Orange Elephant Larger, on tap. Luckily the rooms are within crawling distance from the pub so you don't have to hold back.
