We have been running since June 1994 and are in the heart of the active, lively student area of Observatory where young people from all countries get together throughout the year to enjoy the night life and relaxed atmosphere.
The friendliest small hostel, with great staff who enthuse about Cape Town and South Africa. Jacuzzi parties, mountain hikes, sundowners, township tours with our own staff member and all the welcome you would expect in South Africa.
We have made so many frieds over the years, and keep in touch with many. Some of them have ended up marrying each other! To find who was here when you were, look at the index on the left under past guests.
We have 3 houses - the main house with all the facilities, the private room house with 4 private rooms and the long stay house where guest stay for as long a several months. This house is partly owned by our staff, Carne, Pat and Mavis through a project called Shine The Way
