Long Street Backpackers is the heart of Cape Town's nightlife with 24h police surveillance. We are the only hostel in Cape Town that has a police surveillence camera right on our doorstep! It's the centre of all backpacking activity. Long Street is to Cape Town what King's Cross is to Sydney or Khoasan Rd is to Bangkok.
We are in the city centre and therefore within walking distance of everything that you would need. Long Street is one of the vibiest streets in Cape Town, ask anybody! Even though we are in the city centre, you wouldn't know it sitting (or sunbathing!) in our sunny flowerfilled court yard.
We were established in 1993, the first hostel on Long St. Ever since then it has been our pleasure to offer a sociable, fun atmosphere to our guests. Our free vegetable potjie (traditional stew), every sunday evening, should not be missed.
We have a large state-of-the-art, self service kitchen, poolroom, bar, satellite TV . We have only 2 or 4 pax/dorm. We also have single, double or twin rooms.
