St. Francis Bay is a paradise for watersports enthusiasts: It boasts sandy beaches, ideal conditions for surfing. From August to October, whales can be seen daily in the Bay. Our "Little Venice" boasts numerous canals and access to the Kromme River by boat. The Harbor is the centre of the Calamari fishing and deep sea fishing trips.
About 10 kilometers south lies Cape St. Francis with its impressive lighthouse built in 1878, which is open to visitors. Beautiful walks & trails through the Fynbos landscape abound or climb between the rocks and watch the enormous breakers in awe.
