Flen is a Municipality in Södermanland County, in Svealand, Sweden. Its seat is located in Flen. The municipality is located in a typical Sörmlandish area of lakes and streams. Of these towns, Malmköping, located about 15 kilometers north of the town Flen, surpasses Flen as a tourism attraction due to its two annual markets. The traditions of markets in Malmköping goes back centuries, as Malmköping got market town rights (köping) already in 1785.
