Taipei Train Station Hostel is a friendly place that is centrally located within Taipei City. It is easily accessible (within 5 minutes walk) to Taipei Train Station, Taipei Main Station (Mass Rapid Transit - MRT), and bus stop and terminus for many local, inter-city, and airport buses. Buses from the airport stops at Taipei Train Station, and it is only 2-3 minutes walk from there to the hostel.
Although it is very close to the train station, MRT, and bus routes, the hostel is on a quiet street with little through traffic. Therefore it is relatively peaceful and quiet compared with other places located in Taipei City and other city centres around the world.
As one might expect with the hostel being so close to the train station and other transport routes, there are many places to see, eat, and shop. All of these and many of the attractions in and around Taipei are within walking distance or a short bus or MRT ride away. There is also a visitors information centre in the train station where one can get maps as well as help with things to do and places to see.
The hostel offers dormitory style accommodations as well as private rooms for individuals and couples. There are no en suite bathrooms with any of the private rooms. Facilities at the hostel include: air conditioning; free Internet access; kitchen with microwave and stove; two large common rooms with cable television; refrigerator; several bathrooms with hot showers; and washing machine. The price is inclusive except for any meals; however, there are many inexpensive places to eat just outside the hostel, such as Chinese, Indonesian, Philippine, and Thai.
