Welcome to Chiang Dao Backpackers Dorm! I am an Australian and have lived in Thailand for the past 10 years. We are a quiet hostel in the main town of Chiang Dao, Northern Thailand - 70 km from Chiang Mai. We offer a cheap, clean and convenient hostel to all our guests. There are two 2 bed bedrooms and one 6 bed bedrooms! Facilities include Hi speed internet, Play station II, satellite TV, as well as bedding and towels. Chiang Dao (Thai: เชียงดาว) is a district (Amphoe) of Chiang Mai Province in northern Thailand. Neighboring districts are (from the northeast clockwise) Fang, Chai Prakan, Phrao, Mae Taeng of Chiang Mai Province, Pai of Mae Hong Son Province, and Wiang Haeng of Chiang Mai again. To the north is the Shan State of Myanmar. The district is subdivided into 7 communes (tambon). Both Chiang Dao and Mueang Ngai are also townships (thesaban tambon), which cover parts of the same-named tambon.
