This is a renovated historic schoolhouse located across from Hood River Oregon, centered in The Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. Offering 48 hostel beds and 6 private rooms, we have a classic wooden gymnasium with indoor basketball and a rock climbing wall.
The hostel features a large communal cafeteria, TV lounge, kitchen and laundry. Onsite windsurfing rentals and lessons are available. For 16 years we have been the Gorge Home to fun seekers from 45 countries who become involved in the following activities: kite-boarding, kayaking, rafting, salmon fishing, mountain biking, wine tasting, hiking, climbing, bird watching, paragliding, visiting St.
Helens to observe the devastation of the 1980 eruption, stargazing and waterfall exploring in the United States’ majestic
Northwest.
