The Chelsea Center Hostel is the smallest and one of the oldest hostels in New York.
We have 2 great locations in the Midtown/Downtown area of Manhattan: Chelsea Center West within 15 minutes walking distance of all the midtown sights (Empire State Building, Times Square etc.) and the Chelsea Center East close to all the downtown sights (Statue of Liberty, Financial district, Greenwich Village, SoHo, Little Italy etc.), located in the trendy East Village.
We offer personal attention and friendly service and because we are small, we know everybody by name! We are also a great place for single travellers, because we provide a safe environment and it is easy to meet other travellers. Especially women who travel alone enjoy staying with us.
New York offers an exciting nightlife and we think everybody should enjoy it (no curfew!) but once you get back to the hostel we require you to be quiet and considerate. We are not a party hostel but that doesn’t mean we are not a fun place to stay at!
