Native Americans and pioneers have long travelled to this spiritual spot to bake in the summer sun and refresh in the Colorado River. Since the late 1890’s, State Bridge has been serving river travellers and western adventurers on their journey through this scenic part of the wild-west.
Originally a stagecoach stop and the site of the first bridge across the Colorado, the area also was home to the Ute Indians. These days State Bridge is most famous for it musical venue, hosting world-class rock, reggae, funk and more every weekend.
During the week the lodge caters for fishermen, hikers, bikers, backpackers and those just wanting to escape the summer heat. The Hostel
accommodation is located in out brand new Mongolian Yurts, located behind the lodge on top of big redwood decks!
We offer float trips down the river that go out from our own landing. We can drive you up the river and put you in your own 1 or 2 person “duckie”. The trip takes about 2 hours and takes you through some of the most beautiful land in Colorado. There is even a nice hot spring only a short hike up the river.
