This is in a well-renovated 120-year-old Victorian house which feels more like a home than a hostel. Since the beginning it has had a 5-day minimum stay which provides a more stable population in the house, where guests are able to get to know one another well. Indeed, life-long friendships are common. With a key, guests feel they are living in their own house.
There are two large and fully equipped kitchens with good food storage, and so serious cooking goes on. There is a large common room with books, music, and a fireplace. There is a separate TV room. There is a small rear outside patio area surrounded by plants.
There is a house computer for free access to high-speed internet and a wi-fi signal throughout the house for those with their own laptops. Free coffee in the morning. Guests are surprised at the positive ambience and high quality for low hostel prices.
