Welcome to the International Student Center. The International Student Center is a not for profit youth hostel for young people and international students (between the ages of 18 and 30) traveling through New York City. All guests must hold an international passport or other government-issued ID.
Conveniently located on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, the International Student Center is housed in a historical building in a beautiful and safe residential neighborhood, a hop-step-and-jump from Central Park. We are also easy to find, half-a-block away from the local "C" and "B" subway trains; and two blocks away from the "1" and "9" subway trains, besides easily accessible by bus and taxi too.
The youth hostel offers 50 beds in dormitory style accommodations, both single sex and co-ed rooms. Housed in a historical brown stone building, it's a simple, clean and comfortable place. Your new home, away from home!
A simple but charming garden blossoms in our backyard all year round, with special attention during Spring, Summer and Autumn. We even offer free herbs for guests to harvest during the summer months.
Full kitchen and common lounge with TV and public phones
House phones on each dormitory floor allows guests to receive calls from 9am to 11pm. Messages are posted on the notice board, if guests receive calls when they are out.
