» Description Located on a working hill farm in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, just outside the market town of Abergavenny "The Gateway to Wales" Smithy's has been open since Easter 1995.

Accommodation in the Bunk House consists of two dormitories sleeping 24 with separate showers, wash basins and drying area. The kitchen is adjacent with a common room with wood burning stove across a small courtyard. There is some extra room above the common room which is usually used by group, leaders or snorer's (whichever the louder).

The Olde Crown Inn is situated at the top of the drive where guests can enjoy Bar or Restaurant meals together with a range of traditional beers and an incredible selection of whiskeys.

We have recently been awarded 3 stars following an inspection from the Wales Tourist Board following the improvement work we have recently carried out

The farm has recently joined Tir Gofal an Environmental Scheme and visitors are welcome to wander around to enjoy the peace or look at some of the plants and small animals on the land. Fifteen acres of woodland have recently been replanted and is now actively managed to provide the farm with fire wood and wood products. Three years ago a pond was created which is just under an acre in size this has been stocked with as variety of course fish and will soon have some sizeable Carp specimens.
