Reviewers describe the shared spaces as 'cozy,' 'cute kitchen,' 'pleasant vibe,' and several Bulgarian and Asian reviewers specifically use the word 'authentic' (which, in Plovdiv hostel reviewer code, means 'has character, isn't a flat-pack chain'). The shared kitchen is small but functional, the lounge has a sofa, and there's a rooftop / upper terrace with views over the pedestrian zone.

Rooms are a mix of dorms and small private rooms. The privates are spacious and entirely separate from the dorm circulation — Miri from the UK called the private room 'completely private and spacious, with a very comfortable bed.' Dorms have curtains and lockers; the front-facing dorms hear bar noise on busy nights. Reviewers consistently flag the host as the difference: Dujjathep from France, Jasmine from Japan, Yui from Hong Kong all use words like 'top notch host' and 'really nice and helpful.'

Be aware: one October 2025 reviewer (Mathieu, Netherlands) reported bed bugs.
