§ 01 — Summary

Legendary Prague hostel in a converted apartment building in Holešovice, the city's creative district. BBQ garden, cellar lounge, shared kitchen, live music, happy hours, and a 10-minute tram ride to the center. One of Prague's originals.

§ 02 — The full story

Sir Toby's has been a Prague institution since the early days of the city's backpacker scene, and it's still here because it keeps evolving. The hostel occupies a converted apartment building on Dělnická street in Holešovice — a former industrial district that's become Prague's creative hub, packed with galleries, craft breweries, street food markets, and a growing coworking scene.

The garden is the star. BBQ evenings, picnic tables, hammocks, and a sun deck that catches afternoon light. In summer, this is where the hostel lives. The cellar below has been converted into a proper bar-lounge with happy hour specials, live music nights, karaoke sessions, and a warmth that feels more neighborhood pub than hostel bar.

The shared kitchen is large and well-equipped — Sir Toby's actually encourages communal cooking, and the garden BBQ gives you the space to do it properly. Breakfast is available, walking tours depart regularly, and the staff organizes evening entertainment most nights.

Holešovice is a 10-minute tram ride from Old Town (tram stop Dělnická is 30 seconds from the door), but many guests discover they prefer staying in the neighborhood. DOX art gallery, Manifesto Market, Cross Club, and Letná Park beer garden are all within walking distance.

The hostel was really amazing. It is a bit small but the environment was more than what I expected. The garden area is perfect for hanging out and meeting people. Staff went above and beyond.

Excellent price-quality ratio and very convenient location close to public transport. The garden BBQ was a highlight. Clean rooms and friendly staff who know the neighborhood inside out.

Staff was friendly and helpful, room and bed was great. It was easy and quick enough to get into town by tram. The cellar bar is cozy and the happy hour makes it a great place to start the evening.
