JOST is the hostel that has it all and somehow doesn't feel like it's trying too hard. A pool, a restaurant, a bar with DJ nights, stand-up comedy, AND a full kitchen? In a converted industrial building next to the train station? The capsule beds are the real surprise though. they're genuinely private with proper curtains, reading lights, and a shelf. You don't feel like you're in a dorm at all. The JOST LADIES female dorms are some of the best we've seen anywhere in France. 4-bed rooms designed specifically for women with extra privacy. The pool is seasonal but when it's open (May through September), it's the only game in town for hostel pool vibes in Bordeaux. The location right next to Gare Saint-Jean is incredibly convenient. Jump off the TGV from Paris and you're swimming in 15 minutes. The Darwin Ecosystem down the river is worth the walk for food trucks and street art.
