The welcome drink, daily bar crawls, and cooking classes mean you never eat or go out alone unless you choose to. Athens Hub Hostel sits on a quiet street in the Monastiraki district, about 150 meters from the flea market and 200 meters from Ermou Street. It is an adults-only property that runs more social programming than any other Athens hostel: daily bar crawls, walking tours, cooking classes, happy hours, themed dinners, movie nights, and occasional live events.
The building has a sun terrace with garden seating, a ground-floor bar, and a shared lounge. The bar does a complimentary glass of wine or beer for every arriving guest, which breaks the ice for solo travelers immediately. Happy hour runs daily with reduced prices.
Rooms are air-conditioned with reading lights and power sockets by each bed. The hostel is on a residential side street, so street noise is minimal despite the central location. The 24-hour front desk can book airport transfers and island ferry connections.
The location puts you within a 10-minute walk of the Acropolis, Ancient Agora, Psiri nightlife, and Monastiraki metro. The Monastiraki-Thissio walking corridor along the Ancient Agora wall is one of the best evening strolls in the city.
