§ 01 — Summary

8.6-rated small hostel on Calle San Pedro Mártir, run personally by Mayte — a host who remembers names and makes a small complimentary breakfast for every guest. 1,000+ reviews. Female-safe certified (Safe Accommodations Network against sexist violence), sun-terrace-and-moka-pot atmosphere, 2 min from Plaza Trinidad. Couples rate it 9.4.

§ 02 — The full story

Oh! My Hostel is a small guest-home-style place on Calle San Pedro Mártir, a quiet residential lane in the Granada centre just off the student zone around Plaza Trinidad. The building is an ex-apartment conversion — three floors, a small shared terrace on the roof, and a capacity that tops out around thirty guests. You will not get lost in a crowd here.

Mayte, the owner, runs the whole operation herself and it shows. She is usually at reception from 10:00, remembers names by night two, and answers booking messages faster than most chain hostels do. A free breakfast — small but real, with toast, coffee from a moka pot, fruit and sometimes a pastry — is served in the ground-floor kitchen most mornings. The kitchen itself is fully kitted for self-caterers: four hobs, fridge, oven, proper coffee gear, and a dining table that seats eight comfortably.

Rooms include mixed dorms (4 to 8 beds), a female-only option, and two private rooms. Every dorm has air purifying (the hostel website points this out; reviewers appreciate it), reading lamps, and lockers. Bathrooms are floor-shared and there are enough of them. The hostel is certified by the Safe Accommodations Network against sexist violence — the purple-dot certification you see on doorways in some Spanish cities — which means basic protocols are in place for women travelers reporting issues, a worth-knowing detail.

The sun terrace is the low-key social spot: couches, string lights, no bar (bring your own drinks), and the kind of atmosphere where people actually talk. There's no pub crawl, no paid dinner, no in-house entertainment — Oh! My Hostel works for travelers who've done the party circuit and want a quieter Granada stay without giving up on meeting people. The couples' score is 9.4 out of 10, which tells you something about who this place works for.

Nice, cozy atmosphere, great breakfast, rooftop is so cool, and Mayte, the owner, is amazing!

We got a very warm welcome and an explanation on how everything works. The common area is small but nice and the kitchen has everything you need, also a coffee moka. There's a small breakfast in the morning as well, it was a really nice experience.
