JOST Auberge de Jeunesse Lille Centre
Design-led, 200 beds, food court and nightclub on site — Lille's only real party hostel
JOST's Lille outpost: a 200-bed flagship in Wazemmes with a food court, bar, nightclub, and live music. The closest thing Lille has to a true party hostel — international, design-forward, and a 10-minute walk from the Grand Place across the boulevard.
JOST took over the old Petite Auberge building on rue Meurein in Wazemmes and turned it into the most ambitious hostel in northern France. 200 beds across dorms and privates, four floors, a ground-floor food court that hits seven cuisines (French, Indian, Mediterranean, Vietnamese, pizza, American, international), a proper bar, and a nightclub that runs Thursday through Saturday until 5 AM.
Wazemmes is the right neighborhood for this. It's bohemian, multicultural, alive — Sunday's Marché de Wazemmes (one of northern France's best food markets) is six minutes on foot. Cheap eats line rue Gambetta. The metro at Wazemmes (line 1) hits Lille-Flandres in two stops or the Grand Place in four. You don't need a taxi at any hour.
Dorms range from 4 to 8 beds with privacy curtains and individual reading lights. Air conditioning everywhere — rare in French hostels at this price point. Private rooms feel boutique: hardwood floors, walk-in showers, French linens. The 6th-floor terrace catches the late-afternoon sun and runs evening cocktails until 11. Below, the bar continues till 1 and the club opens at 11 weekend nights.
This is the loudest hostel in Lille and proud of it. If you want quiet, book CENTRAL. If you want to actually party in a city that mostly winds down at midnight, JOST is the call. The food court alone is worth the price of admission — it's the only spot where you can feed an 8-person dorm at 11 PM.

“Comfy beds and large lockers. A short walk from the centre but in a vibrant area with the metro close. Food available in the on-site food court covers everything from burgers to Vietnamese. The bar runs late and the rooftop is great in summer.”
“I got a private room which was very comfy and clean. Great value for money. The staff were very friendly and there was always something happening at the bar.”
“Actually the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Clean, quiet enough on the upper floors, the staff are great. I'd come back without hesitation.”
