JOST's Lille outpost: a 200-bed flagship in Wazemmes with a food court, bar, nightclub, and live music. The closest thing Lille has to a true party hostel — international, design-forward, and a 10-minute walk from the Grand Place across the boulevard.
The People's Vieux-Lille flagship: a former townhouse on rue de Saint-André turned design-forward hostel. 10 minutes to the Grand Place, two minutes to the cobbled streets and welsh-and-bière-de-garde estaminets that make Vieux-Lille worth the detour. Bar, terrace, breakfast, real social energy.
JOST's club opens Thursday-Saturday at 11 PM. Get there before midnight to skip the queue.
The People's live music is quieter — Tuesday and Thursday nights, acoustic acts. Better for conversation.
Check the hostel's noticeboard or Instagram for that week's lineup. Programmes change weekly.
Drinks are reasonably priced at both — JOST €5-7 cocktails, The People €4 craft beer. Cheaper than dedicated music venues.
The Aéronef (5 min walk from JOST) hosts bigger touring acts. Worth booking a ticket if your hostel night isn't pulling enough draw.
