Hostel Partenope sits on Via Filippo Maria Briganti in the Capodimonte quarter, halfway between the historic Capodimonte Royal Palace and the runway of Capodichino airport. The geographic luck of that placement is the whole pitch: every other Naples hostel is in the centre or on the seafront, and getting to a 6am Ryanair from there means a €30 taxi at 4am. From Partenope, you walk to the airport in 20 minutes or take the local bus in five.
The building is a refurbished 1970s residential block. Rooms run from 4-bed mixed dorms to private doubles and triples, all with air conditioning, private or shared bathrooms depending on the room type, and balconies on most. Linens included, towels included, soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. Walls are decent but not soundproof — flight paths overhead are part of the deal.
The ground-floor common area has a coffee bar (operated as a snack bar from morning to late evening), a shared kitchen with everything you need for a basic meal, board games, a movie projector for weekly movie nights, and a small concierge desk that books bar crawls and walking tours. The team is small and family-run, which shows in the consistent reviews: friendly faces, real recommendations, no corporate-front-desk distance.
The trade-off is the location. You are not in the Centro Storico — you'll need the metro (line 1 from Materdei or Museo, 15 min walk) for everything tourist-ish, and the area immediately around the hostel is residential rather than scenic. Pick this hostel for the airport math, not the postcard view.
