Cooltour Hostel
Quiet, breakfast-included sleep in Jeżyce — Poznań's hipster strip, 15 min walk from the Rynek
Cooltour sits on Dąbrowskiego in Jeżyce — Poznań's specialty-coffee, vinyl-bar, vegan-spot district 15 minutes' walk west of the Old Market Square. Continental buffet breakfast included, an outdoor terrace for warm months, and quiet rooms despite the street outside. Couples rate it 9.4 for the location.
Cooltour is in Jeżyce, the western district of Poznań that's been the city's specialty-coffee, vintage-shop and vegan-restaurant heart for the better part of a decade. Dąbrowskiego — the street the hostel sits on — is its main drag. Walk five minutes in either direction and you're either in a third-wave coffee shop or a craft beer bar. The Old Market Square is 15 minutes east on foot, or 5 minutes on the tram from Jeżyce Park stop two blocks away.
The building is residential-sized, not a 200-bed factory. Family rooms and private check-in are the focus — this isn't the bar-crawl hostel of Stary Rynek, it's the place you book when you want to actually sleep. The continental buffet breakfast is a real one (warm dishes, juice, fresh pastries, cheese, fruit) and it's included rather than a 30 PLN add-on. Out back there's an outdoor terrace with seating that gets used heavily May through September.
Most rooms share bathrooms by floor, with hairdryers, towels and toilet paper provided — closer to a small-guesthouse setup than a 16-bed dorm warehouse. Pet-friendly, family-room-friendly, with private parking on site (rare in Poznań) and 24-hour security with key-card access. WiFi throughout. Smoke-free building.
Couples rate the location 9.4 because Jeżyce is the only Poznań neighborhood that feels properly residential and properly hip at the same time — you eat better, drink better and pay less than the equivalent on the Rynek, and you're still ten minutes from the goats clock at noon.
- 01Continental buffet breakfast is actually included — not a 30 PLN add-on like every Stary Rynek hostel.
- 02Jeżyce beats the Rynek for coffee, food and craft beer at lower prices. Cooltour puts you in the middle of it.
- 03Quiet rooms despite a busy street — Dąbrowskiego is loud during the day but calms down by 10 PM.
- 04Private parking on site is genuinely rare in Poznań. Worth it if you're roadtripping in.
- 05Tram from Jeżyce Park to Bałtyk takes 5 minutes. Walking is fine, the tram is fine, both work.
- Continental buffet breakfast included
- Outdoor terrace for warm months
- Heart of Jeżyce — coffee + vinyl + vegan spots
- Quiet rooms despite Dąbrowskiego location
