GIRLSTEL Wrocław - Girls ONLY Space
The only Girls-Only hostel in Wroclaw — 4th floor balcony views, 3 min to Rynek, Old Town central
GIRLSTEL is Wroclaw's only women-only hostel: a small, apartment-scale space on the 4th floor of a townhouse on ul. Ofiar Oświęcimskich, 3 min walk from the Rynek. Balconies with Old Town views, shared kitchen, terrace, 24-hour security, key-code entry. Rated 9.4 across 39 reviews, almost exclusively from solo female travellers who want a safe, calm base steps from Pasaż Niepolda. No lift — you walk the four floors.
GIRLSTEL sits on the 4th floor of a classic Wroclaw tenement on ul. Ofiar Oświęcimskich, a short street between pl. Solny and the Rynek — you're 3 min walk from the Market Square and 5 min from the Pasaż Niepolda bar courtyard. Bag the right room and you get a small balcony with direct Old Town rooftop views (churches, trams, the gas-lamp lighter in the evening).
The concept is simple: women-only, small, apartment-scale. Think roughly 12-15 beds across a handful of rooms — private singles, doubles, a 4-bed female dorm. You get key-code entry, 24-hour camera-monitored security, and a front door that doesn't let men past the hallway. The vibe is less party-hostel and more flatmates-for-a-week: quiet evenings on the terrace, movie nights in the lounge, pierogi cooking in the shared kitchen.
Facilities punch well above the bed count. The terrace on the roof has lounge chairs and string lights; the kitchen is a proper domestic setup — electric hob, oven, fridge, kettle, French press, actual spice rack. Every room has air-conditioning (rare at this price in Poland) and the balcony rooms face west, catching sunset over the Solny square. The one catch: four floors of stairs, no lift. If you're carrying a heavy pack or have a knee, plan around it.
Location is the quiet win. You're on a cut-through that tourists rarely use, so the street is silent by 22:00. Yet the Rynek is 3 min one way, the tram to the airport is 4 min the other, and the Jewish quarter (Włodkowica) is 2 min. It's the closest thing to an Old Town apartment rental, only with 24-hour security, other solo women around, and breakfast supplies in the communal fridge.

“Great location, safe, clean, modern. Everything a solo female traveller needs. The balcony view of Wroclaw's old town at sunset was the highlight of my trip.”
“The women-only concept actually matters here — I slept properly for the first time in three cities. Small, cozy, spotless. Host was genuinely helpful with restaurant tips on Włodkowica.”
“Beautiful place, very well located, 3 min from the market square. The terrace is lovely and the kitchen was spotless. Only downside is the fourth floor, but worth it.”
