The building sits a block off Vytauto, the main avenue running south from Old Town toward the train station, on a stretch that's residential rather than touristy. Reception is unstaffed evenings and weekends — you get a code by email, walk in, find your bunk. For solo travellers landing on the late Lux Express from Vilnius this is the right setup; for travellers expecting hand-holding it's not.

Inside it's a converted apartment-block layout: 4-, 6-, and 8-bed mixed dorms with private en-suite bathrooms (rare in this price tier), a shared kitchen with two hobs, microwave, fridge, and a long table that doubles as the lounge. Air-conditioning works. Beds are full-size singles with under-bunk lockers and reading lights — not the painted-pine bunks you see in older Baltic hostels.

Location puts you a six-minute walk from the bottom of Laisvės alėja, ten from Mykolas Žilinskas Art Museum, and twelve from the train station. The funicular up to the Christ's Resurrection Basilica viewing terrace is a fifteen-minute walk through the modernist quarter — do this on day one.

Who this is for: solo travellers, slow couples, mid-thirties backpackers who want central but quiet. Not for stag parties (adults-only and quiet hours are enforced), not for first-time hostellers who need a manned reception, not for groups bigger than four.
