Montenegro Hostel 4U occupies a property on Bokeljskih brigada, directly on the Boka Bay shoreline north of Kotor's Old Town. The address gets you private beachfront access — steps from the dorm to a small sun deck and into the bay — and a 6-minute flat walk along the promenade to the Sea Gate and the start of the marble lanes. Tivat Airport is 6 km / 12 minutes by car or shuttle.
The building runs as a full party-hostel operation. There's an on-site bar that runs nightly, a games room, BBQ facilities on the sun deck, and a programmed events calendar in summer: BBQ + bay boat tour Tuesdays, pub crawl Wednesdays and Fridays, hiking trip to Vrmac or Lovćen Saturdays. The crew is mostly returning volunteers (the hostel posts staff calls every spring), and the social rhythm is the entire product.
Facilities are practical: 4-, 6- and 8-bed dorms with curtained bunks, lockers, A/C and a socket by every bed; private twins with shared bathrooms; full shared kitchen for self-cooking; small on-site minimarket for the standard breakfast assembly; free parking on the property. Reception is staffed during the day; private check-in and check-out is the norm at the bar after hours. Bathrooms and dorms got a refresh in 2023.
Reality check: this is a loud, programmed, summer-season party hostel. From May to October the social engine is the full thing — and the people who pick it for that reason rate it very highly. From November to March it's quiet, the events calendar shrinks, and the bay swimming becomes 'admiring the bay'. Pick 4U for high-summer Kotor when you came primarily to meet people; pick Pupa or Centrum if you want sleep and old-town walking.
