§ 01 — Traveler's take

“Mayflowers night one: I bought tomatoes, garlic, day-old bread and a small jamón pack at the corner shop on Calle Enmedio (4€ total for the bread + tomatoes, 6€ for the jamón). The hostel's salmorejo recipe sheet is taped above the blender. Made enough for four — two of us cooking, two more eating. Took 20 minutes including chopping. Ate it in the patio with the small bottle of Montilla-Moriles wine I brought from the Mercadona earlier in the day. Total dinner cost per person: 5€. The same plate at a tour-perimeter restaurant: 10-14€. Inturjoven night two: skipped the in-room cooking option (there isn't one) and went to the cafeteria menu del día at 13h30. Three plates (gazpacho, fish, flan), water and a glass of wine, 10€. Sat with a Korean traveler and a Catalan student doing an exchange at the creative workshop — both said it was their second day eating there. The cafeteria is the de-facto guest kitchen at Inturjoven: you don't cook, but you eat at hostel prices.”
