Trip'n'Hostel Pink Bubble

Pink Bubble is the second house in the Trip'n'Hostel family, opened to handle the summer overflow from the original on Rruga Mustafa Matohiti. The whole building is painted pink, the courtyard has the only swimming pool we have seen at a Tirana hostel, and the social calendar is run by the same crew that built Tirana's longest-running backpacker scene.

Location is the trade-off: 15 to 20 minutes north of Skanderbeg Square, in a residential pocket near Rruga Zogu I. Public bus 12 from Sheshi Skenderbej drops you a block away, or it is a 4 EUR taxi from the centre. Once you are inside the gate, the pool, hammocks, and shared kitchen mean you do not need to leave for entire afternoons.

Dorms are 4 to 12 beds with curtains, USB sockets, and air conditioning that actually works in July. The bar in the courtyard runs from 6pm with cheap raki and the staff DJs from a Bluetooth speaker; live music nights happen Wednesdays and Saturdays in summer.

The house DNA is summer party hostel, and the pool is the centre of gravity. Guests cluster around it from breakfast onwards, the bar lubricates the evening, and the bar crawl heads into Blloku at 11pm. Closes for the season around late October when the pool drains; check before booking outside June through September.
