“I stayed two nights at 365 For U to get the full walking tour plus rooftop scene, then one night at Sol for the early catamaran to Hvar. 365's 10 am walk is led by Dino and ends at Buza 2 — the smaller, cheaper Buza entrance most guests miss. The rooftop terrace opens at 5 pm with €3 Karlovačko on tap and is the best pre-game in Gruž. Sol's terrace is smaller (four tables) but the sea view over Gruž port at sunset beats anything in the Old Town, and the honor-system fridge bar runs on trust. Both hostels push guests toward the 9 pm Buza 2 window (before cruise-ship day-trippers leave at 7 pm but after the sunset crowd clears at 9 pm) and both have a laminated sheet at reception listing which Old Town bar has the crowd that night.”

Tips for Choosing a Hostel with Social Events in Dubrovnik

Take the 10 am walking tour from either hostel before doing the wall walk. It ends at the cheap Buza 2 entrance (€1 less than Buza 1) and covers the wall-walk timing trick — start at 8 am before the 10:30 am cruise-ship arrivals.
