Harbour Hub Hostel
Ferry-terminal hostel with a proper kitchen and a 9.4 location score
Harbour Hub sits on Paadi street, a five-minute walk from the Port of Tallinn ferry terminals and fifteen minutes from Viru gate into the Old Town. Private parking, free bicycles, a shared kitchen that gets used, and a 9.4 guest location score put it firmly on the Helsinki-day-trip circuit.
Harbour Hub was clearly built for the Helsinki ferry flow. Paadi street is a short walk from terminals A and D, so if your Viking Line or Tallink leaves at 07:30 you can roll out of bed at 06:45 and still make it without a Bolt. The Rotermann Quarter with its craft beer bars is five minutes inland, and Balti Jaam Market is a fifteen-minute walk past the seaplane harbour.
Inside, it's pragmatic rather than polished. Dorms are functional with sturdy bunks, reading lights that actually work, and private lockers inside each room. The shared kitchen runs morning and evening traffic, with enough burners that nobody waits long. Guests with bikes use the secure rack by the entrance; the free in-house bicycles get booked quickly on sunny days for the Pirita beach ride.
There's no in-house bar or organized pub crawl, which is the trade for the location. Most guests walk the fifteen minutes to Monks Bunk or the Rataskaevu crawl for a social night, then roll back through quiet streets. The 24-hour reception and keycard access make late ferry arrivals painless. Summer books out two weeks in advance; winter rates drop to €16 and the ferry crowd thins out to a Finnish few.

“No frills accommodation at a cheap price. Exactly what the website says. Bikes were handy for a Kadriorg ride and the keycard system meant no fuss coming back at 1am.”
