THE 4YOU Hostel & Hotel is Munich's closest hostel-hotel hybrid to the Hauptbahnhof north exit — Hirtenstraße 18, five minutes on foot through Stachus. Maxvorstadt is Munich's academic quarter; the three Pinakothek art museums are a 10-minute walk, the LMU university is a block east, and the Residenz is 15 minutes to Marienplatz. Less tourist bait than Altstadt, less grungy than the direct Hauptbahnhof strip.

Dorm beds from €33, private doubles from €85, and proper twin-hotel rooms with queen beds at €110 — all under one roof, all sharing the bar, restaurant, and garden.
