§ 01 — Summary

Budget hostel on the south bank of the Liffey, seconds from Temple Bar. Shared kitchen, walking tours, and bar crawls. Overlooking the river with Trinity College a 5-minute walk.

§ 02 — The full story

Abigail's Hostel sits on Aston Quay on the south side of the Liffey, literally seconds from the Temple Bar entrance. You could not ask for a more central location in Dublin. Trinity College is a 5-minute walk, Grafton Street shopping is 7 minutes, and O'Connell Bridge is right outside.

The rooms are surprisingly spacious for the price, with big windows that let in good natural light. Some rooms overlook the Liffey, which is a nice bonus. The beds have reading lights and there's enough space that you don't feel crammed. Separate toilet and shower stalls are a practical touch.

The shared kitchen is well-equipped and a genuine money-saver in expensive Dublin. Self-catering here and you'll cut your daily budget significantly. George's Street Arcade is a 5-minute walk for cheap lunch options too.

Abigail's runs bar crawls and walking tours, and the vibe is friendly without being party-focused. It's more the kind of place where you end up chatting in the kitchen with other travelers than doing shots at 2am. Good for solo travelers who want social but not chaotic.

Perfect location close to Temple Bar but still quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. The room was large and light with a big window with great facilities.
