§ 01 — Summary

Modern hostel on Abbey Street with 10,000+ reviews. Stand-up comedy nights, evening entertainment, in-house bar, and comfortable beds. Feels upscale for a hostel.

§ 02 — The full story

Clink i Lár (Irish for 'Clink in the Center') is one of Dublin's newest hostels and it shows. Everything feels fresh: the beds are comfortable, the common areas are designed for socializing, and the in-house bar has a real coffee barista during the day. With 10,000+ reviews, it's already one of the most reviewed hostels in Ireland.

The entertainment program is what sets Clink apart. Stand-up comedy nights, live music, evening entertainment, and a bar that becomes a genuine social hub after dark. The staff are consistently praised as friendly and attentive, from reception to security to the barista.

Located on Abbey Street Upper, you're on the north side of the Liffey, a 7-minute walk from Temple Bar. The Luas red line is right outside for getting around. O'Connell Street is a 3-minute walk.

Breakfast is available and gets solid reviews. The beds are modern with good mattresses, and the overall feel is closer to a boutique hotel than a traditional hostel. If you want the hostel social experience but don't want to compromise on comfort, Clink delivers.

Breakfast was very good. Could have had a little more variety but was tasty. Coffee was really good.
