NapPARK Hostel
Belgrade's 9.6-rated sleeper — a small Pančićeva hostel with a host who actually runs it, four minutes from Republic Square.
NapPARK is Belgrade's highest-rated hostel (9.6 from 282 reviews) and it earns that number the old-fashioned way — a small setup, a host (Vladimir) who remembers your name, and an address that's quiet at night but four minutes from Republic Square.
NapPARK sits on a quiet cobblestone street between Tašmajdan Park and Kalemegdan fortress, which in Belgrade geography means you're inside the Old Town tourist triangle but protected from its noise. The building is a converted Stari Grad apartment block with about 20 beds total, which is why the 9.6 rating holds — this is not a 150-bed warehouse with interchangeable receptionists.
The host is Vladimir, and if you read the reviews (or the first page of the Google results) you'll see his name repeatedly. That's unusual enough in 2026 hostel-land to be the single biggest reason to book here. He helps with Nikola Tesla airport bus arrivals, points you to the real rakija bars (not the tourist ones on Knez Mihailova), and runs an informal rakija welcome tasting at the common table most evenings.
The beds are the other half of the story. Proper bunks with individual reading lights and lockers that fit a carry-on, private curtains on every bunk, AC that works in August, and towels included — which sounds basic but is surprisingly not standard at Belgrade hostel prices. Kitchen is small but functional (the Bónus-equivalent supermarket Maxi is two blocks away on Makedonska).
Pros: top-rated by a wide margin, genuinely quiet nights despite the Stari Grad address, Vladimir. Cons: small (6–8 bed dorms max, books out fast in summer), no in-house party scene — if you want the splav night, you'll walk to El Diablo or HostelChe for the pub crawl.
