Hostel Snoozemore

Hostel Snoozemore occupies a converted building at Kvilletorget 24, a small square in Kvillebäcken that locals call the hippest corner of Hisingen — the large island north of the river where most of Gothenburg's craft-beer scene now lives. Three microbreweries are within a five-minute walk: Stigbergets (hazy IPAs), O/O Brewing (experimental small batches), and Beerbliotek (the taproom with a bottle shop). That's the pitch, and guests who come for it rate this hostel among the highest in the city.

The setup is simple and self-service. A code arrives by email the day before; you let yourself in, find your key in a box, and you're done. The kitchen is the hostel's best room — four hobs, an oven, a full-size fridge, and a dining area large enough that cooking at 7pm doesn't mean eating at 9. There's a sauna on-site, free to use, which guests mention more than any other amenity. Rooms are clean and spacious with good bathrooms; the bedroom doors face an interior corridor so street noise is minimal even on summer weekends.

Where Snoozemore asks for compromise: you're across the river. Tram 4 or 6 runs every 7–10 minutes to Centralstationen and onwards to the Linné/Järntorget nightlife, but last connection is around 00:30 before you're reliant on night bus 700. It's also the kind of place where you won't accidentally meet other travelers — self-check-in plus the spread-out layout means it's more suited to couples or solo travelers who want their own space than to social-dorm hunters.
