Nest Boutique Hostel sits on Bulevardul Regina Maria in Sector 4, the residential strip south of Piața Unirii that connects the Parliament Palace to Carol Park. It's a seven-minute walk northwest to Piața Unirii and fifteen minutes to Lipscani, putting it inside the "walk to everything" radius without paying Lipscani's hostel premium (dorms here land at €16 versus €22+ in the Old Town).

The setup is adults-only dorms (4-bed and 6-bed mixed, some female-only) plus private doubles with ensuite bathrooms. Every dorm has parquet floors, reading lights, under-bed lockers, walk-in showers with very hot water (a standout in guest reviews), and air-conditioning. The bar and lounge sit on the ground floor alongside a games room (board games, console, couches) and the shared kitchen — full stovetop, fridge, kitchenware, so you can cook your own Obor Market haul instead of eating out every meal.

The vibe leans calm-social rather than pub-crawl rowdy. Reception doubles as a tour desk that books the Free Walking Tour (10:30 daily from Piața Universității), the Communist-era tour, and day trips to Brașov and Sinaia. Breakfast (continental or buffet with cheese, bread, fruit) runs 22 RON and is a genuine meal, not a token spread. The garden out back is small but usable in summer for a beer from the bar after you come back from the sights.

Location-wise, you walk the Unirii fountains in 10 minutes, the Palace of the Parliament in 16, Carol Park and Bellu Cemetery in under 15, and Tineretului metro (line M2) is a 12-minute walk — giving you direct access north to Piața Romană and south to the airport-bus terminus if you need the 783. Nightlife-wise, it's a 15-minute walk to Control, Fratelli, and the Lipscani bar circuit, and the walk back at 02:00 is along a well-lit boulevard rather than a dark side street.
