Best Hostels with Bars in Tallinn

Tallinn's seven hostel bars span the full spectrum — The Monks Bunk's ground-floor pub that doubles as the pre-crawl lobby, Fat Margaret's honesty fridge in the games room, and Ring SPA's pool bar by the jacuzzi. Every hostel here has a place to drink without leaving the building, which matters at 02:00 when it's minus-ten outside and the Old Town bars are shutting their doors.

§ 01 — Traveler's take
My Wednesday at The Monks Bunk started in the ground-floor bar at 20:30 for the pub crawl briefing, then walked to Hell Hunt, Porgu and Valli baar before ending at a club in Kesklinn at 01:30. By Friday I was back at Monks Bunk's bar for karaoke, and Saturday I'd moved to Fat Margaret's where four of us rented the sauna for 90 minutes and bought six A. Le Coq from the honesty fridge. The bars are the infrastructure — every good Tallinn night starts or ends at one.

The Monks Bunk bar closes at midnight on quieter nights but stays open until 01:00 on pub-crawl days. Non-guests welcome.

Tip Nº 02

Fat Margaret's honesty fridge in the games room is €2/beer for A. Le Coq, €2.50 for Saku. Cheaper than any Old Town bar.
